Shots Fired in Baltic Ministry

A man fired shots and set off a smoke bomb at the Defense Ministry in Estonia's capital, Tallinn, then was killed as police moved in, officials said Thursday.

The prosecutor's office said a man with a gun broke into the Defense Ministry building. He threw a smoke bomb at the building and took two hostages who managed to flee. Police surrounded the building and then detained the man, who then shot himself.
