No Holes in Bulgaria

The Investigative Committee denied on Wednesday a report that the Bulgaria rivership, which sank in the Volga River last month, killing 122, went under because of four holes poked in its hull near the fuel tank.

Moskovsky Komsomolets, citing unidentified experts with the Russian River Register, reported Tuesday that the damage occurred during an overnight docking.

But an Investigative Committee spokesman dismissed the report and added that a mechanical check of the raised vessel was ongoing, RIA-Novosti reported.
