Praise for Olympic Progress

SOCHI, Krasnodar Region — The head of the International Olympic Committee's coordination commission for the 2014 Winter Olympics said Sochi was making great progress in construction and organizing efforts.

"Once again, we've seen great progress during our visit to Sochi," Jean-Claude Killy in a statement Wednesday after his latest review of the project.

"The operational planning for the games is reaching a new level of detail, and we can see that the experienced team in front of us has truly understood the needs and demands of running an Olympic Games at the highest level," he said.
