About 70 members of Blue Buckets, a motorist group against abuse of flashing blue lights that give traffic priority to officials, rallied on Ukrainsky Bulvar in western Moscow on Saturday, Interfax reported.
Activists protested numerous road incidents caused recently by privilege-abusing officials, including a car crash involving presidential envoy to the State Duma, Garry Minkh, that killed his driver and left the driver of another car hospitalized Jan. 19, Blue Buckets member Pyotr Shkumatov said.
Media reports cited witnesses’ accounts implicating Minkh in the crash, but traffic police refused to present their version of events before the probe is over. Minkh was questioned for several hours over the crash on Thursday, Interfax said.
