Ship Freed After 3 Weeks

Two icebreakers have pulled a Russian ship out of the ice where it had been trapped since New Year’s Eve.

The Transportation Ministry said the ship, a refrigerated vessel with a crew of 35, was towed to open water in the Sea of Okhotsk on Monday. Three more ships remain stuck in ice since Dec. 31.
