Unidentified thieves have targeted a state circus in the far eastern city of Vladivostok, stealing 6 million rubles ($194,000) in cash on Sunday, Interfax reported, citing an unidentified law enforcement official.
The money, which constituted the circus’ recent revenues, was stolen from a safe in the cashiers’ office, the official said. The building was under police protection, and it was unclear how the thieves managed to avoid the guards.
