Lavrov Prods North Korea

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told his North Korean counterpart on Monday that Moscow was deeply concerned over the North’s uranium enrichment efforts and condemned an attack on a South Korean island, the ministry said.

Lavrov “expressed deep concern” to visiting North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun over “information about the creation … of industrial uranium enrichment capabilities” and urged Pyongyang to abide by a commitment to abandon its nuclear program.
