KamAZ saw truck sales calculated to Russian accounting standards rise 30.6 percent year on year to 50.3 billion rubles ($1.67 billion) in January to September this year, the company reported Thursday.
Net losses were 598 million rubles for the period, versus 4.3 billion rubles for last year. The company said the increase in revenue had been driven by rising demand on the domestic truck market.
The optimization of production capacity, a decrease in costs, participation in federal special purpose programs and effort to stimulate demand in commercial offers on price, product quality and service all helped increase revenues, the company said.
KamAZ produced 23,910 trucks in the period, a year-on-year increase of 31 percent. The company sold 47,500 vehicles in 2008 and about 26,000 last year.
