Oleg Mitvol, the outspoken prefect of Moscow’s Northern Administrative District, said Monday that he would drop an attempt to challenge acting Mayor Vladimir Resin’s decision to fire him by citing paperwork errors, Interfax reported.
Mitvol said he was “disgusted” by his former colleagues, who he said have already turned off the SIM card for his work cell phone.
He also said he has no employment plans but was ready to work for the new city government, presumably that of Sergei Sobyanin, who is due to be confirmed as the next mayor by the City Duma on Thursday.
