Motherless Baby Registered

A Moscow civil registry office has registered for the first time the birth of a child without identifying its mother, Interfax reported Tuesday, adding that a court ruling had been required.

The child was born through a surrogate mother, so official records will only identify his father, a single 55-year-old man.
