The Communications and Press Ministry has proposed Rostelecom vice president Vadim Semyonov to take over as CEO of state telecom holding Svyazinvest, Interfax reported Monday.
The candidacy was sent to the Federal Property Management Agency for approval, Interfax reported.
Semyonov studied at university with President Dmitry Medvedev, Vedomosti reported Monday. Svyazinvest CEO Yevgeny Yurchenko submitted his resignation last week, and the board is expected to vote on the replacement Sept. 29, Interfax reported.
