No Suspects in Boat Death

Investigators are stumped about the whereabouts of the driver of a boat that killed a female swimmer in a hit-and-run accident July 19 in the Pirogovskoye reservoir in the Moscow region, Interfax reported Thursday.

The victim, Olesya Ivanova, 25, died after being mangled by the boat’s propellers. The boat’s captain was detained last week, but witnesses said he was not driving the boat.

The driver faces up to five years in prison on charges of mishandling a waterborne vehicle in an incident that led to a death.
