Russian ‘Spy’ Bailed in India

An Indian court agreed Tuesday to release on bail Olga Timoshik, a Russian citizen detained in June for visa violations but accused by Indian authorities of working as a spy, Interfax reported, citing her lawyer, Birinder Singh.

Timoshik is expected to be released on Thursday or Friday, Singh said, adding that the bail was not set Tuesday.

An investigation is ongoing, and an Indian police official told RIA-Novosti on Monday that charges against Timoshik might be filed within a month.
