Russia’s total gold output, including byproduct, declined 3.5 percent in the first half to 74.66 metric tons from a year earlier, the Russian Gold Producers Union said Monday.
The amount of mined gold fell 5.1 percent to 63.5 tons, the union said in a statement. Mined gold rose 6.1 percent to about 19 tons in June, compared with a year earlier, led by Polyus Gold, Kinross Gold and Petropavlovsk, the union said.
