The list of shrinking species includes the Cascades frog in Oregon, the natterjack and crested toads in Britain, salamanders in Mexico, the crested toad in Puerto Rico, the gastric brooding frog in Australia and many others, acccording to the study carried out by Andrew Blaustein and John Hays of Oregon State University.
Researchers have theorized that amphibians might be most vulnerable to UV rays because they have neither hair, hide nor feathers to shield them.
