An airline official said the Russian quarantine service had ordered Aeroflot, which uses Delhi as a major hub for its Asian services, to suspend the flights.
"We froze cargo and passenger flights to all Indian cities from last Friday," the official, in the airline's Asia department, said by telephone.
The Aeroflot move followed a decision last Thursday by Russia's top medical watchdog body to suspend travel by tourist groups and individuals to India.
More than 100 pilots and cabin staff were stranded in Delhi, where they were waiting to relieve other Aeroflot crews and a special plane would leave Moscow on Wednesday to evacuate them.
Also Monday, Thai Airways International said it would resume flights to India, but in Delhi, the airline said, no new passengers would be allowed to board.
