Yemen Truce Shattered

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemen's civil war foes on Tuesday fought with artillery and rockets around the southern city of Aden on Tuesday, ripping to shreds a cease-fire which both sides accused each other of violating. Northern and southern officials blamed each other for the collapse of a cease-fire that the north, under pressure from the UN and Gulf Arab neighbors, had set for midnight on Monday. Battles raged on fronts around Aden, where residents queued for water, dug wells and restored old wells, fearing a shortage of water after a southern statement said northern warplanes bombed the city's main water plant twice since Saturday.
