Warwicks Heads For 4 Victories

LONDON -- Warwickshire stayed on course for an unequalled clean sweep of all four domestic cricket competitions with a crushing eight-wicket win over Somerset in the NatWest quarter-finals.

With the Benson and Hedges Cup already won and a six-point lead in the third one-day competition, the Sunday League, plus contending for the county championship, Warwickshire was quoted after Tuesday's victory at only 3-1 to win all four trophies.

"We realize the quadruple is possible and because of that every game is like a cup final," said coach Bob Woolmer.

West Indian Brian Lara again proved no more than a bit-part performer in Tuesday's game.
