U.K. Mulls Gas Stations

MOSCOW () -- A British Petroleum Company official said Thursday the company was considering setting up a network of gas stations in the Russian capital.

The official, who asked not to be identified, said his company was currently holding talks with the Moscow city council to select a site for the first station, likely to be built by the end of next year.

Gas and diesel fuel to be sold at the station will come from oil refineries around Moscow. The stations will also offer BP lubricants and various services. Itar-Tass said BP was ready to invest up to $10 million in the project.
