() -- Emergency workers cleaning up the damage from a sewage pump breakdown in the eastern city of Kharkiv are facing growing health problems, officials said Monday.
"The steam from the sewage is the main cause," said Environment Ministry spokesman Anatoly Andriyenko. "This steam is very dangerous for people."
About 200 workers have turned to medics with problems such as high blood pressure and damaged lungs, Interfax said. Health officials said that some workers had also been hospitalized.
