Scot Ties Curtis Cup

OOLTEWAH, Tennessee () -- Janice Moodie of Scotland won the final hole to clinch a 9-9 tie for Britain and Ireland against the United States in the 28th Curtis Cup.

Sunday's dramatic tie means the cup remains with the British and Irish team that won three of the four previous Curtis Cups. It was only the third tie since the first Curtis Cup in 1932. The United States leads the series handily, 20-5-3.

The two-day event is match play, with six individual matches and three foursomes in which pairs from each side alternate shots.
