Satellite Deal Signed

vMOSCOW -- The Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center has signed an agreement with the German aerospace company DASA, a subsidiary of Daimler-Benz, to launch satellites on Russian-made rockets, a Khrunichev official said Friday. Spokesman Sergei Jiltsov said that under the agreement the two companies would launch satellites on the first two generations of the SS-19 rocket, which was formerly used for military purposes, as well as the third generation of the rocket, which is being modified for commercial use.
