Prince Philip Ends Visit

MOSCOW () -- Britain's Prince Philip has wrapped up a five-day ecological tour of Russia's Arctic and left for Norway, Itar-Tass reported.


The Duke of Edinburgh was in Russia as president of the World Wide Fund for Nature to promote the protection of the country's many endangered species. He visited Russia's Far North, including Yakutia and Siberia.


When he arrived in Russia on Wednesday, Prince Philip expressed particular concern about poaching, especially of the Siberian tiger and the Saiga antelope.
