Preferential Tariffs Set

MOSCOW -- The Russian government plans to grant preferential import tariffs to those foreign suppliers that will invest in Russian industry, Interfax quoted Foreign Trade Minister Oleg Davydov as saying Wednesday. The minister gave no further details. Commenting on the country's new higher import tariffs, which came in force July 1, Davydov said that the government is preparing a schedule to gradually reduce those tariffs that exceed 30 percent, Interfax reported.
