Police Killed in Tallinn

TALLINN, Estonia () -- Authorities launched a nationwide manhunt Thursday for the killers of two policemen shot and killed during a highway vehicle check.

The two traffic policemen were gunned down after they stopped a truck on a highway near the village of Mao, about 100 kilometers south of the Estonian capital of Tallinn.

When the officers tried to inspect the truck's contents, at least one gunman opened fire. One policeman was killed instantly and the second died later in a hospital. A third officer was also hit, and is in critical condition.
