Bulls, 100, Rockets, 81. In Chicago, B.J. Armstrong scored 20 points and the Chicago Bulls held Houston star center Hakeem Olajuwon to 2-of-18 in field goal shooting. Toni Kukoc had 18 points for the Bulls.
Knicks, 104, Heat 95. In Miami, John Starks, Patrick Ewing and Anthony Mason combined for 75 points to lead the New York Knicks over the Miami Heat. Starks led the Knicks with 26 points, and Glen Rice had 21 points for Miami.
Bullets 109, Nets 103. In New Jersey, Rex Chapman scored 16 of his 35 points in the third quarter to lead the Washington Bullets over the New Jersey Nets. The loss was the third in a row and 11th in 14 games for the Nets.
Pacers 98, Spurs 93. In Indiana, Rik Smits scored 16 points and Derrick McKey added 15 to help the Indiana Pacers to their third straight victory, a 98-93 triumph over the San Antonio Spurs. The Pacers survived a 34-point game by Spurs center David Robinson.
Timberwolves 100, Hornets 83. In Minnesota, Isaiah Rider scored six of his 29 points during a 10-0 run in the first half that broke the game open to lead Minnesota over Charlotte. Alonzo Mourning had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets.
Trail Blazers 103, Kings 87. In Portland, Clifford Robinson scored six of his 27 points in an 18-8 surge to open the fourth quarter as the Portland Trail Blazers stretched their home winning streak over Sacramento to 23 games .

Cavaliers 101, Nuggets 100, OT2. "Little" Steve Colter snuck in among the big men to make a tip-in with two-tenths of a second left in double overtime that lifted the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 101-100 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Danny Ferry missed a 15-footer but the 6-foot-3 Colter, who had tied the game with 4.8 seconds left in regulation, tipped in the errant shot.
76ers 117, Lakers 113. In Philadelphia, Dana Barros scored a career-high 41 points and the 76ers allowed just three points in overtime, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 117-113. Cedric Ceballos led the Lakers with 33 points and 11 rebounds.
Hawks 89, Celtics 84. In Atlanta, Ken Norman scored 29 points as the Hawks edged the Boston Celtics 89-84. Dominique Wilkins scored 15 points to lead Boston.
SuperSonics 117, Mavericks 91. In Dallas, Gary Payton had 22 points and Kendall Gill 19 as the Seattle SuperSonics pulled away for their ninth straight victory. Shawn Kemp had 16 points and Detlef Schrempf and Sam Perkins each scored 13 for Seattle.
Bucks 120, Pistons 100. In Milwaukee, the Bucks beat the Detroit Pistons 120-100 for their fourth straight victory, the team's longest win streak since 1992.
Kings 92, Clippers 86. In Anaheim, Mitch Richmond scored eight of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as Sacramento won its third straight.
