Partnership to Pipe Gas

BUDAPEST-- Russia and Ukraine could deliver as much as 145 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas a year to Western Europe by 2005 under a pipeline system that has been agreed, a Ukrainian official said Tuesday. Grigory Babiyev, chief of the gas supply division at Goskomneftegas, told a conference the system could one day also carry supplies from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan
