SYDNEY, Australia () -- Goalkeeper Mansoor Ahmad made a dramatic diving save to stop a penalty stroke from Jeroen Delmee Sunday as Pakistan triumphed in a shootout against the Netherlands and won the World Cup field hockey title for a record fourth time.
The teams were level 1-1 after regulation time and Pakistan won the penalty contest 4-3.
Ahmad, who also was the hero when Pakistan defeated Olympic champion Germany on penalty strokes in the semifinal, dived to his right to stop the Delmee's shot and seal the win.
