Output Memo Unlikely

MOSCOW () -- Russia and the world's other leading aluminum producers are unlikely to sign a new memorandum of understanding on output cuts, Igor Prokopov, head of the industry association Aluminy, told Interfax.


Russia had cut aluminum production by more than 75 percent to 225,600 tons in the period from January to June, while the other six top producers only cut output by half, Prokopov told the agency.
