Oil Union Planned

MOSCOW () -- Ten of Russia's largest oil companies have agreed to set up the Union of Russian Oil Exporters, which would help enterprises pursue a common pricing policy on the international market, Itar-Tass said Tuesday.

The agency said the union's members, whom it did not name, will hold a founding meeting Nov. 1. The new alliance is said to allow oil exporters to consolidate their financial resources and expand on the international market.
