Norman Seeks Future World Tour of Golf
With more international stars playing more American tournaments, there are rumors that the end result could be the formation of a world tour of golf.
"You would not go out to destroy the U.S., European or Japan tours but work in conjunction with everybody in the world, play a certain number and leave another 35 weeks to play the other tours,'' said Norman, here for the Dunhill Cup competition. "It would be the easiest thing to do and I am surprised no one has done it.''
Kite, of the United States team, doesn't see it that way.
"I don't think it could ever work,'' he said. "There are quite a few organizations who have a lot of control over portions of the golf world and wouldn't want to give it up."
