MOSCOW () -- Russian telecommunications giant Rostelekom has chosen Coopers & Lybrand as its auditor and will create a Western-standard consolidated financial report for 1994, according to a company statement.
Cooperation with Coopers & Lybrand is "proof of our desire to enter world markets in the future," wrote Rostelekom President Oleg Belov.
The choice of Coopers & Lybrand must still be ratified at Rostelekom's next general shareholders' meeting.
