EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey -- Armon Gilliam, playing in place of the injured Derrick Coleman, scored a season-high 27 points and the New Jersey Nets limited Detroit to 10 baskets in the second half in beating the Pistons 117-99 Wednesday night.
Chris Morris also added a season-high 22 points, Benoit Benjamin had 18 and Kenny Anderson added a season-high 17 assists and 11 points as the Nets won three in a row for the first time this season. The last two victories Coleman has been sidelined with a lacerated hand.
Former Net Terry Mills had 25 points and rookie Grant Hill 23 as the injury-ravaged Pistons lost for the eighth time in 11 games.
Heat 122, Bucks 112, 2 OT. In Miami, Bimbo Coles, who missed shots at the buzzer at the end of regulation and again in the first overtime, scored 10 of his 22 points in the second overtime to lead the Miami Heat over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Coles scored 5 straight points for a 107-105 lead, but a 3-pointer by Glenn Robinson gave the Bucks a 108-107 advantage with 2:52 remaining. Miami put the game out of reach by scoring the next 8 points.
Glen Rice had 30 points. Kevin Willis added 29 and a season-high 24 rebounds.
Magic 102, Clippers 91. In Los Angeles, Shaquille O'Neal scored 12 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter and had 10 rebounds as the Orlando Magic beat the Los Angeles Clippers.
O'Neal hit 14 of his first 16 shots from the field and scored Orlando's only 7 points over the first 3:47 of the fourth quarter. But he missed 11 of 15 free throws and is 34 for 88 from the line in his last seven games.
Nick Anderson added 19 points for the Magic, including five 3-pointers. Lamond Murray led the Clippers with 18 points.
Pacers 107, Bulls 99. In Indianapolis, Rik Smits scored 25 points as the Indiana Pacers topped the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls failed to score 100 points for the fifth straight game, including their last outing when they hit a franchise low in losing to Cleveland 77-63.
Chicago, which had won eight straight in Market Square Arena, was led by B.J. Armstrong, who had a season-high 27 points. Scottie Pippen was sidelined with stomach flu.
Reggie Miller had 18 points, but missed part of the third quarter after colliding with a camera under Chicago's basket. A cut above his right eye required two stitches.
Spurs 111, Nuggets 97. In Denver, David Robinson scored 34 points, including 16 in the third quarter, and the San Antonio Spurs pulled away from the Denver Nuggets for their fifth straight victory.
Robinson hit 16 of 18 free throws as the Spurs made 33 of 36 from the line.
Denver scored only 12 points in the final period, getting one basket in the final 6:16.
Vinny Del Negro added 20 points and Avery Johnson 19 for the Spurs.
