NEW YORK () -- The National Basketball Association has disapproved the recent contracts between A.C. Green and the Phoenix Suns, and Horace Grant and the Orlando Magic on the grounds that they violate the league's salary cap rules.
The NBA determined Tuesday that the one-year buyout provisions in both contracts were designed to circumvent the league's salary cap. Both players reverted back to unrestricted free agents.
