NATO-Russia Talks

MOSCOW -- NATO on Wednesday invited Russia to start immediate talks on how to develop their relationship, amid continuing confusion on the status of their ties and Moscow's delay in signing the Partnership for Peace security cooperation program, Reuters reported. A NATO spokesman said alliance ambassadors had "decided to invite Russia to begin discussions in Brussels immediately," the agency said. Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Demurin said Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Kozyrev would go to Brussels to sign Partnership for Peace "as soon as NATO headquarters has finished the necessary preparatory work.
