Moscow Revenues Up

MOSCOW () -- Tax collection data suggests that Moscow's industrial decline is leveling off, the capital's top tax collector said Thursday.


Dmitry Chernik, head of the Moscow Tax Office, told a news conference that while the city has so far collected only 60 percent of this year's taxes, collections had grown significantly in the third quarter.


Moscow accounts for about 18 percent of Russia's total tax collection.
