MINSK -- A senior Belarussian minister tendered his resignation Thursday, saying President Alexander Lukashenko was out of touch with his cabinet and under the influence of "rogues."
Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Gonchar, a former parliament deputy and member of Lukashenko's campaign staff, said the president was being misled by a "degraded" staff.
"Lukashenko has become a tool in the hands of rogues and outrageous dilettantes who paid for his election campaign," Gonchar told a news conference.
