Luton, West Ham Deadlock

LONDON -- Luton, sole first-division survivor in the FA Cup, held premier league West Ham to a goalless draw in a tense quarterfinal at Upton Park. Both sides took a safety-first approach in their pursuit of a Wembley semifinal against Chelsea.

West Ham came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 42nd minute when a shot from Mike Marsh ricocheted off the post. The replay is at Luton's Kenilworth Road ground on March 23.
