Love and Couples' Hat-Trick

DORADO BEACH, Puerto Rico -- Americans Fred Couples and Davis Love completed an unprecedented hat-trick when they romped to a huge victory at the Heineken World Cup.

Zimbabwe never remotely threatened to catch the Americans on Sunday, but Tony Johnstone birdied the final hole as Zimbabwe edged Sweden for second by one stroke.

Couples and Love led from start to finish to become the first team to win three successive World Cups.

They finished at 40-under-par 536, a tournament record low, to win by 14 strokes from Zimbabwe, equal to the largest ever victory margin.

Former Masters champion Couples finished at a tournament record low 23-under 265 to win the "International Trophy" for the lowest individual score.
