Kyrgyz Budget Agreed

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan () -- Kyrgyzstan's 1995 budget plan says the economy may start to grow next year although the budget deficit will be 14 percent of gross domestic product.


The budget, agreed Monday, envisages spending of 5.7 billion soms ($533 million) and revenue of 3.3 billion soms for a deficit of 2.4 billion soms.


Kyrgyzstan is currently without a parliament, and the budget is unlikely to become law until after February elections.
