Kazakh Cabinet Shift

MOSCOW -- Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev has changed key cabinet posts, setting up new ministries in the energy sector and merging those dealing with trade and industry, Kazakh radio has reported. The broadcast, monitored by the BBC on Monday, said a single ministry of trade and industry would replace three ministries of foreign trade, industry and trade. A new ministry for oil and gas and a ministry for power and coal would replace the old ministry of power and fuel resources which should "more effectively implement state policy for the use of the country's fuel and energy potential."
