Japan Gymnasts Lead

SABAE, Japan () -- Hosts Japan, China and the United States remained in the top three positions after the second day of the men's team compulsories at the world gymnastics championships.


There were in fact no changes in the top five of the men's team standings after seven countries completed their compulsories Tuesday.


South Korea notched up the day's highest score of 277.661 points to finish sixth.


On Monday, the Japanese men's team posted a total 282.060 to take a narrow 0.012-point lead over defending champions China after performing six compulsory exercises.
