Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz will arrive in Moscow on Tuesday on a working visit, the Foreign Ministry said.
It gave no details of the previously unannounced visit.
Russia has been a leading advocate of easing United Nations sanctions imposed on Baghdad after its 1990 invasion of Kuwait, and it helped persuade Iraq last month to recognize the emirate within borders established by a UN commission.
