Iran Approves Pipeline

NICOSIA () -- Iran is ready to provide facilities to Kazakhstan to transport its oil to Europe via Iranian territory, President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani told a senior Kazakh official Wednesday.


Iran's official news agency IRNA said the Kazakh Chairman of Parliament Abish Kakilbayev told Rafsanjani in Teheran that tKazakhstan was interested in using Iranian territory for exporting oil and other goods. Rafsanjani "announced the Islamic Republic of Iran's readiness to provide necessary facilities for transfer of Kazakhstan's oil to Europe via Iranian territory," IRNA said.
