MOSCOW () -- Holland's ING bank is setting up a representative office in Vladivostok and a bank official said he thought ING was the first foreign bank to set up business in the Pacific port city.
"It seemed wise to have a physical presence in Russia's major Pacific port city." Maarten Pronk, the bank's general manager in Moscow, said Tuesday.
ING, which specializes in emerging markets, has built up a network of branches in Eastern Europe.
