Hurdler Jumps Ban

LONDON Drug-banned Olympic silver medalist Danny Harris must resume his four-year suspension after competing in five events this year without the knowledge of the International Amateur Athletic Federation. Harris was banned for four years after he tested positive to cocaine in February 1992, but was reinstated by the U.S.A. Track and Field in March this year after an appeal.

IAAF general secretary Istvan Gyulai said the USATF had no right to reinstate Harris, and he should not have competed in the European grand prix meets.
