LONDON () -- British Foreign Secretary Douglas Hurd plans to visit Estonia on Friday, the Foreign Office said Wednesday.
Hurd will meet President Lennart Meri, Prime Minister Mart Laar and Foreign Minister Juri Luik.
His visit, the first by a British foreign secretary since Estonia regained independence in 1991, will come at the end of Queen Elizabeth's state visit to Russia. Hurd has been accompanying the royal party.
Hurd will also visit Finland on Friday, rejoining the Queen who will travel to Helsinki on her official yacht Britannia, which is at present moored in St Petersburg.
