ORLANDO, Florida -- There's no place like home for the Orlando Magic.
The Magic raised their perfect record at home to 18-0 and snapped Charlotte's eight-game winning streak with a 109-98 victory over the Hornets. Shaquille O'Neal led the way, scoring 16 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter.
Anfernee Hardaway added 23 points and Nick Anderson contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds for Orlando, which improved to a league-best 30-7 overall. Alonzo Mourning had 33 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks, while Larry Johnson scored 21 points for Charlotte.
O'Neal, who also had 15 rebounds, scored six of his points during a decisive 8-0 run that gave Orlando an 87-73 lead with 9:19 remaining, putting the game out of reach.
SuperSonics 115, Cavaliers 91. The SuperSonics have a little home court magic of their own going, raising their record in Seattle to 17-1 with their 16th consecutive home win.
Gary Payton scored 25 points and Detlef Schrempf added 21 as the Sonics raced out a big first-quarter lead en route to a 115-91 blowout of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Sonics, who won their seventh straight overall, used an 18-4 run in the final six minutes of the first quarter to take a 31-14 lead. The Cavs never got their deficit under 10 points thereafter.
Cleveland, which was led by Terrell Brandon's 20 points, played without Mark Price, who has a sprained right wrist.
Suns 129, Nuggets 113. In Phoenix, Charles Barkley scored 16 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter and the Suns set a team record by draining 15 three-pointers in a 129-113 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Dan Majerle scored 32 points and Danny Manning added 24, making 11 of 15 shots from the field. Majerle shot 6-of-13 from three-point range and added six assists for the Suns, who improved to 17-2 at home.
Denver had closed to 94-93 on a basket by Brian Williams with 11:43 left in the fourth quarter when Phoenix embarked on a decisive 15-2 run, sparked by 10 points by Barkley.
The Suns also set another team record by committing just four turnovers -- one short of the NBA record set by Portland in 1991 against Phoenix.
Spurs 101, Celtics 92. In Boston, Chuck Person scored 24 points and keyed a decisive fourth-quarter run as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Celtics 101-92.
Person scored seven of his points in the first 4:31 of the fourth quarter, when the Spurs went on a 16-2 run to take an 89-71 lead.
David Robinson scored 18 points for the Spurs, while Dennis Rodman pulled down 18 rebounds for San Antonio.
Dino Radja had 22 points and 15 rebounds and Dee Brown added 20 points and eight assists for the Celtics.
Kings 95, Trail Blazers 88. In Sacramento, Michael Smith had six points and Mitch Richmond five during a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to rally the Kings to a 95-88 triumph over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Brian Grant had 26 points and 16 rebounds and Richmond added a game-high 29 for the Kings, who improved to 14-5 at home with their seventh win in 10 games. Cliff Robinson had 22 points and Clyde Drexler scored 20 for the Blazers.
