TBILISI, Georgia () -- Georgia announced a new gas-supply contract with Turkmenistan on Friday, but the deal will not bring gas into the homes of ordinary Georgians suffering their worst winter in living memory.
In a deal signed earlier this week, Turkmenistan will provide Georgia with 4 million cubic meters of natural gas a day, said the head of the Georgian Energy Ministry's gas department.
