French Accor To Manage Pullman Iris

French firm Accor, one of the world's largest hotel management groups, has taken over the management of Moscow's Pullman Iris hotel, which has been renamed Sofitel, a hotel representative said Tuesday. Antoni Kuhnen, the hotel's general manager, said in an interview that Accor would give the hotel access to worldwide reservation systems, allowing it to raise its occupancy rate from last year's 40 percent to a projected 70 percent this year. "It means more convenience for Western businessmen and tourists in booking hotel rooms in Moscow," Kuhnen said. The Accor group also manages the Novotel hotel, located next to the Sheremetyevo-2 international airport. Sofite is, the name Accor uses for all its five-star hotels, Kuhnen said.
